Welcome to the Dacorum Health Walk Programme

A great way to make new friends, enjoy the area and improve your health, and it’s free!.

Walks are open to everyone, but particularly those who do little exercise or are recovering from injury or ill-health.  If you have any existing medical conditions you should see your doctor in advance for advice.  He/she should be aware of the benefits of walking.  Well behaved dogs may be allowed, check with leaders first.

On the first walk you need to arrive in time to complete a 'Ready to Exercise' form.  This information is kept confidential, but allows the leaders to look out for potential problems.

The leader will tell you about the route conditions at the start, but will avoid steep hills, stiles, many steps or very muddy/slippery surfaces,  however, be prepared for  grass, uneven surfaces or puddles after rain. Country walks will be more testing.

Please wear comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes & possibly bring waterproofs.  You may like to carry a drink/snack.

For more information please contact the CMS West and Southern office on 01727 848168
